IDHAYAM Plot/Synopsis
Idhayam is a story about a young man comes to city medical college to study to fulfill his dream of a doctor but he goes as a patient, who feels too shy and reclusive to express his feelings of love. It is about him who falls in love with a Grecian beauty and what happens to his love because of his reserved nature.
Murali comes to the big city to study medicine in a reputed medical college. On the first day he meets Geetha (Heera) and falls under her charming spell. But Murali is brought from a village and has a simpleton life which makes him unable to openly express his feelings to her.
He is delighted to see Geetha in the same class and on a daily routine yearns for her attention and love. But still he cannot come out from his natural upbringing of not to open his thoughts. He tells his feelings to his friend. The friend is happy to see his pious love and encourages him to talk to her but Murali will not.
Geetha at one time loses her loving sister who commits suicide fearing that her love will not be accepted by her parents. Geetha is shattered by her sister’s death. At this troubled time Geetha befriends Murali. Every word Geetha speaks to him makes Murali walk on the clouds and every compliment she gives him thrills him beyond extents.
Murali still hides his love from her and years pass until their course comes to an end. Murali suffers from being unable to tell his love to Geetha and he is unaware that Geetha’s father has sought a suitor for her and has fixed her marriage. Murali comes to know this from Geetha’s friend. It rips of his heart and unable to bear his pain he faints there suddenly.
Geetha realizes that Murali has hidden his feelings for her all this time and that makes her fall in love with him. She learns that Murali is very sick right now and is leaving the city to his native place. Geetha rushes to see him. But Murali’s friend warns her about his tender heart and if finds out that she is in love with Murali he will be overjoyed but that over joy could be fatal to him as his heart cannot withstand that much kind of emotions. The friend promises Geetha that he definitely will one day bring Murali back to her but until his heart heals she has to wait. Geetha accepts his advice and waits for Murali until his heart (Idhayam) could even bear the sweet news of her love.
UZHAVAN – Plot/Synopsis
The film is set on the rural background. It tells about the struggles of a farmer who puts himself in hot water for helping out another girl’s love.
Prabhu plays the farmer. He is betrothed to Ramba, the daughter of the local bigwig. Banu priya comes to that village as a teacher to that village school. Prabhu helps her in managing her life in the village. He is also eager to be married to a beautiful woman.
But Prabhu finds out that Ramba is in love with another man and she does not have any intention of marrying him. Prabhu finds this out and helps Ramba to marry her lover. This angers Ramba’s father who gathers the village council to punish Prabhu. They give him a peculiar punishment that no one in that village or the near by villages should give their daughter’s hand in marriage to Prabhu.
Prabhu’s mother gets shocked and hearing everyone that he will die as loner breaks her heart and she dies because of that. Prabhu too is left alone. He arranges the marriage of his younger brother even before his and sends him to city.
During this loneliness Banu Priya takes pity in Prabhu and extends her warmth to him. They unknowingly fall in love with each other. But the village takes it otherwise and remarks that Prabhu is having illegal affair with Banu Priya which makes her very angry with her relation with Prabhu.
What Prabhu does not know is Banu Priya is suffering from a terrible disease and she needs huge money for treatment. Prabhu sells all his lands to afford her treatment. Banu Priya takes this the wrong way and curses him for being so one minded without knowing the true love behind his motives.
Prabhu nearly becomes a pauper as he has no land. And after a long time Banu priya after her treatment realizes how cruel she has been to Prabhu and unminding what the villagers say about her she comes back to him.
Kadhal Desam – Plot/Synopsis
A triangle love story embedded with all the essence of youth and their raw energy. Arun (Abbas) and Karthick (Vineeth) are best friends. They by fate happen to fall in love with the same girl Divya (Tabu). What happens to their friendship and their love is Kadhal Desam.
Karthick (Vineeth) is middle class student studying in Pachayappa college. Arun (Abbas) is a upper class youth going to Loyala college. Both of them happen to meet in a college rivalry that is on a road side battle between the two colleges. But some how Karthick sees Arun as a friend and he even a cup championship for the happiness of Arun. Arun sees this and they become thick friends.
Divya enters their life like a lightning flash. Both of them meet her separately and both of them lose their heart to her. Divya sees both of them as her friends. Soon Arun and Karthick find that they are in love with the same girl. A rift develops in their friendship.
It worsens as their friends begin to help them and settle their difference in a bitter way. Both of them restrain their friends from doing so.
Divya realizes that a beautiful friendship is suffering because of her and convinces them they can live happily as thick friends and not to trouble themselves with love.
Kadhalar Dhinam – Plot/Synopsis
A romantic story set in the backdrop of the urban nature of Mumbai and amidst the impact of internet among the youth.
Raja (Kunal), a poor village youth comes to Mumbai in order to get an admission to the reputed Ramachandra College having high hopes on his life. He eagerly waits for his result. The chairman and principal of that College Dr. Ramachandra (Nasser) sees Raja sleeping on a road side. Seeing him like that brings old memories of his own youth to Ramachandra. Ramachandra notices that Raja is waiting for the result from his own college. He graciously awards an admission to him so that an ordinary poor guy like Raja can fulfill his ambition.
Raja is happy to study in his dream college. He learns there about the prospect of Internet chat room. On the chat room he meets a mysterious Roja to whom he develops a heart for. From the chat room he meets Roja (Sonali Bendre) in real. She too has developed a certain liking to Raja and they fall in love.
Love makes Raja forget everything. His past, his passion and all. He is blinded by the love he has for Roja. It peaks when he flunks an exam. Raja suddenly realizes the mistakes he was making and decides that love is for the deserved. He seeks help from Ramachandra himself to forget his love and concentrate on his studies. But Ramachandra advises him that it will foolish of him if he sacrifices his love as love can only make a man better not destroy him. He even goes to help Raja deepen his love with Roja. Ramachandra does not realize that Raja is in love with his own daughter and Raja does not know Roja is Ramachadra’s daughter.
Ramachandra makes plans for Roja’s wedding and Raja comes to know who Roja is. He decides that it will be better for Roja only if she marries a rich man Ramachandra has chosen for her and renounces his love. He tries to go back to his village. But for Roja her love is not just any love. She attempts suicide on the day of her marriage. Ramachandra realizes who Roja’s lover and comes back to find Raja to accept him for his daughter.
With everyone’s blessing Raja weds Roja.
Kadhal Virus plot/synopsis
The movie Kadhal Virus is about Deepak (Richard), a successful movie director. It is all about his dreams, his successes, his failures, his love and his ultimate sacrifice for his love.
Deepak, to his credit has a lot of blockbusters in the tinsel world. The whole film fraternity rejoices his hits by graciously honoring him. Everyone heaps praise on him for making wonderful movies. He often remembers his road to success and his only love of his life Geetha (Sridevi).
The film travels back in time when Deepak was still a wannabe movie director. He meets Geetha and mesmerized by her beauty he falls in love with her at first sight. He happens to meet her again and again by chance and by every incident he is drawn to her.
Deepak goes to Coonoor to write a script and gets overjoyed to see Geetha there. After some hiccups they both see the good in each other and fall in love. Inseparable, both of them are, they think about themselves. But fate intervenes. On an urgency to meet a movie producer to submit his script Deepak leaves to Chennai promising Geetha that he will always be in touch with her.
Time passes by; Deepak gets his big break to direct a film. On the first day of his shoot Geetha comes to meet him, only to invite him to her wedding to a prominent businessman. A heart broken Deepak curses his fate and begins to concentrate only on his movies. He begins to win the heart of the people and minds of the youth by his portrayal of love in his films. He is also known as the youthful director for introducing a lot of youngsters to stardom.
At present time Deepak is often visited by an energetic handsome youth Rajiv (Abbas) for a chance in his movies. Deepak turns him down; instead he picks another youth to be the star of his next film. Deepak then learns a bitter truth that Rajiv is none other than the husband of his sweetheart Geetha. The couple faces utmost hardship because of Rajiv’s dream to become a star. Deepak decides to help for the sake of Geetha.
Deepak replaces his hero of the new film with Rajiv only to face tremendous backlash from the producers and the financiers. Deepak decides to produce the movie on his own and then unfortunately gets stabbed by the guy Rajiv replaced.
Daring all odds Deepak finishes the film and makes a big star of Rajiv which in turn takes a heavy toll on Deepak’s health. Geetha realizes how far Deepak has suffered just to make her husband a star runs to Deepak to thank him for everything. She reaches him only to see him dead inside a movie hall.
Deepak is dead only to prove that his love is beyond human comprehension. It is Genuine. It is Immortal.
